Neues Album

Marilyn Manson hat seine derzeitige „Stimmung“ via MySpace mitgeteilt: „creative kreative“.
Die Arbeit am neuen Album der Band hat somit begonnen – Mr. Manson beweist dies mit seinem aktuellen Post:

Hier eine Zusammenfassung über die bisher bekannten Fakten zum 8. Studioalbum von Marilyn Manson:

- Die Arbeit am neuen Studioalbum wurde von Marilyn Manson persönlich erstmals in einem Interview mit dem britischen Metal Hammer Magazin am 03. Dezember 2009 bestätigt.

- Erste Ideen zum Album sind bereits während der Tour zu “The High End Of Low“ entstanden: “Wir haben angefangen, auf der derzeitigen Tour an neuen Songs zu arbeiten – ein bisschen wie [David Bowie's Album] ’Aladdin Sane’…” so Manson dazu.

- In Bezug auf seine Versöhnung mit Evan Rachel Wood und seinen Split von Stoya äußerte sich Manson, dass der lyrische Inhalt des Albums “romantischer” und zugleich “selbstzerstörerisch” sein wird.

- Im Dezember wurde öffentlich, dass der Vertrag zwischen Marilyn Manson und seinem bisherigen Label Interscope aufgelöst wurde: “Wir wurden gerade aus unserem unserem Plattenvertrag bei Interscope entlassen, der uns immer wieder bei vielen kreativen Entscheidungen die Hände gebunden hatte…”
Marilyn Manson steht allerdings immer noch ohne Label da – die Veröffentlichung eines Albums auf Medien außerhalb des Internets gestaltet sich so schwierig.

- In einem aktuellen Interview bestätigt Chris Vrenna, Keyboarder und musikalischer Kopf von Marilyn Manson, erste Konzeptionen zum Album: “Right now we are just talking and coming up with concepts for it.“

Perou, von 1998 bis 2007 offizieller Fotograf von Marilyn Manson, hat in seinem Online-Tagebuch vom 01. und 02. April über ein Fotoshooting mit Manson geschrieben und berichtete zusätzlich, dass er die Gelegenheit hatte, „einige neue KILLER Songs zu hören. Dreckige BRUTALE Musik. Genial.“

slept all afternoon, feeling rough.
then after dinner at the ‘grand lux’ drove round to (marilyn) manson’s place, with frances, for some photos.
haven’t seen manson for a long while so it was good to catch up. and good to shoot some new pictures of him for the ever expanding archive.
twiggy was there too, with beard, working on some new tunes in the studio.
good times. i might return tomorrow night for round 2.

back to black
after dinner, returned to Marilyn Manson’s lair for round two of what was started last night.
tonight was a more sober affair. set against a loopping sound/picture-track of werner herzog’s ‘bad lieutenant’
MUCH more productive: extremely experimental (mental) lighting. but longer haul. arrived at 10pm left at 3am, when i could see no more.
did get to hear a couple of KILLER tracks being put together. dirty HEAVY music. GREAT
back at the hotel at 4am, stoopid bitches were screaming and laughing through the walls of my hotel room. had to call down to reception and politely ask if they could get the ’stupid, noisy bitches in room 125 to stop screaming and laughing: some of us are trying to get to sleep’.

In nem Interview hat Manson gesagt, dass die neue Richtung stark in die Ecke Heavy Metal geht. Der Grund dafür ist die lange Zusammenarbeit mit der Band Slayer!
